Allstate spent $4 billion to acquire National General Holdings Corp. on January 4, 2021, to cement the company’s focus on selling through independent agents like Titan Insurance Services. Nat Gen has been in business since 1939, has a financial strength rating of A- (excellent) from A.M. Best, and provides personal and commercial automobile, homeowners, umbrella, RV, motorcycle and other niche insurance products.
