Why Is My Homeowners Premium Increasing?

April 20, 2022
Author: Liz Giannetti

2022 has been off to a very painful start for our customers and us here at Titan Insurance Services. We are seeing the effects of inflation hit every single one of our customers’ homeowner’s policies. The cost of building materials and the labor shortages is causing the replacement costs to skyrocket, and on average, we’re seeing $200 increases to homeowner’s premiums.

While this is bad, you can rest assured that Doug and Liz take the time to review your renewal, and we’ll always try to see if we can find you a better price by moving you to one of our other carriers, while making sure your home is properly insured should the worst happen.

There are ways to save on your homeowners premiums as well. If you have your home and auto bundled with the same carrier, you’ll get a discount. You also get discounts for the more policies you have with a carrier, like home, auto and umbrella. All our carriers offer a discount if you pay your premium in full yourself, and there are some carriers that offer a discount if you don’t have your homeowners premium paid through escrow.

Our goals always has been and always will be to get you the best insurance coverage we can for the lowest price possible. If you have friends, family members or neighbors who need some relief from their insurance premiums, tell them to give us a call!
